Ellen Elizabeth Engel
Hey, my name is Ellen Elizabeth Engel and this is my portfolio. My name is Ellen Engel and currently I am in the 10th grade. I am good at planning and making time for everything that I need to get done. I am also responsible and do my best work no matter what. I was inducted into the Beta Club at Sonoraville High School and I am now working towards being inducted at Calhoun High School. Another goal that I have is to be inducted into the National Honor Society next year. After I have graduated I would like to go into a college and one day get a job in the field of plastic surgery. I am interested in pursuing a career in the field of plastic surgery or cosmetology. Not necessarily a make up artist or a surgeon but possibly a salesperson for a make up line or an aid in surgery. I think that all the different types of make up and surgeries people can have to alter their looks is very interesting. It doesn’t attract me personally but it interests me. The skills I have now to have either of these careers is that I am dedicated to what I do. I also plan to take a business class and a healthcare class to further my knowledge for these jobs. The cosmetology field has a world of different careers one can pursue. From being a hairstylist to doing make up for photo shoots and fashion shows. There is even a business side to this industry dealing with managing famous make up lines. In the field of plastic surgery there are also a lot of careers that someone could follow. One could be a surgeon or just a nurse. In these to fields there are several careers to follow. My references would say that I am a hard working and don’t take no for an answer if I know that it is worth the extra work. I also like to do my best and look my best even if it is for something little. The sample of work that I am showcasing is my research paper in biology. I did really well on this paper and it shows my ability to present information and work hard to achieve what I want. This sample is a research paper that I wrote over breast cancer first semester of sophomore year. From writing this paper I learned about the genes and how they can affect someone and their chances of getting a disease. I am eager to graduate from high school and start my professional life. My goal is to make myself as appealing to employers as I can by showcasing the skills I have .I have learned by creating this portfolio how to present information about myself in a professional way.
